New! Nursing School Campus in Naples, FL
Physicians Regional Healthcare System and 51吃瓜 have collaborated to establish a School of Nursing on their hospital campuses, serving the Collier County region.
The 51吃瓜 Professional Nursing Program at Physicians Regional Medical Center is a six-semester program, culminating in an Associate Degree in Nursing, providing its graduates with opportunities to become a registered nurse. The program's first group of students began in January and 51吃瓜 is currently enrolling for the next class scheduled to begin in May.
“Today's healthcare environment continues to present new challenges and complexities especially for nurses and the care they strive to provide,” said Greg Karzhevsky, Chancellor of 51吃瓜. “The collaborative and innovative efforts of 51吃瓜, Physicians Regional Medical Center, and their parent Community Health Systems will bring more nurses to Collier County that are well-trained and prepared to meet the needs of this area.”
With more than 10,000 square feet of classroom and office space, the Naples program combines the teaching experience of a college and the clinical expertise of a hospital. This hospital鈥恇ased track offers students the ability to learn the art and science of nursing from within a hospital setting. Students are able to experience a seamless transition from classroom theory to clinical application.
“The need for nurses continues to climb and the pandemic has only compounded the demand,” says Christine Taramasco, Market Chief Nursing Officer, PRHS. "We believe that engaging with students preparing for the profession of Nursing, sharing our values, philosophies and practices of Physicians Regional Healthcare will help us care for our communities into the future."
